Barcode Mix by Pure

Here we go starting the new year off right with a new project for you guys to enjoy. This mix was suppose to be posted up a few weeks ago but with the holidays and the crazy schedule that comes attached with it ultimately delayed me from sharing the mix. This mix was done exclusively for my guys over at Barcode Magazine, make sure to check them out.

This particular project was unique in the way that i was supplied the tracks and i was limited in using only these tracks to create a smooth sounding blend of music. With different BPM's and musical styles that these artists brought to the table I was only left with my creativity to mold everything together in a manner that would sound good for the 50 minute run time. When the project was completed i was diggin' the end result...

Take a listen and I hope you guys feel the style in this Electronica style mix.

Now That's Cold, Gallo by Pure

I had alot of fun putting this one together... I brought it back to that rugged soulful hip hop, only headnodders on this one. This past weekend i took my little one to his first Bboy jam... how time fly's people. With the massive and constant abuse by the mainstream to the hip hop culture it's nice to see that the essence is alive and well. It had been awhile since i had attended a hip hop jam so entering the community center and walking through the halls to find out who was playing the breaks, constant flashbacks bombarded my eyes like Paul William's Jab. Rocking colored windbreakers & fat laced Puma's just waitin to reveal the new freeze i'd been working on... Once a Bboy always a Bboy. Anyways hope you enjoy this one.

Recollection: A Musical Documentary

What's going on people?... I've been busy with numerous projects I'm getting ready for all of you to enjoy... So expect a new mix real soon.

I'm currently working a specific project entitled "Recollection"... that i NEED your help to make it happen. Basically i need everyone who wants to participate to email me a voice recording expressing yourself... Just record yourself talking about anything you want, it could be opinions, rants, reactions to things that interest you, simply shouting out your crew, talk current events, what you did yesterday, etc.... Then just send those recordings to me. Simple enough... The only thing i ask is to mention where your from and to keep it clean(profanity is fine, but no racist comments, threats, etc... use your judgement). If you don't have a program to record yourself download Audacity for free HERE or if your in the US simply call 206-350-9692 and leave a message up to 5 minutes long, the message will be sent in mp3 format to my email.
Leave as many recordings as you want, preferably in mp3 or wav. format but any type is fine, don't worry about the quality just as long as its understandable.

Hope you guys want to help me out on this project... the more recordings the better so Spread the Word...
